Dr. Miatheresa Pate is a transformative force in education, celebrated for her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to advancing equity, innovation, and academic excellence. With a career spanning over two decades in diverse leadership roles—including teacher, Middle School Principal, Deputy Superintendent, Superintendent, Chief of School Support, Chief of Professional Development, and Executive Chief of Academics and Instruction— Dr. Pate has consistently delivered systemic change and empowered leaders to build capacity, align goals, and drive transformative outcomes. Her experience includes leadership in the largest public school system in the country, where she has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing large-scale initiatives and professional development that foster student success.
As the Founder and Lead Facilitator of E-TAPS, Dr. Pate champions the growth and empowerment of women leaders in education. A proud alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, her consultancy emphasizes innovation, excellence, and the broadening of women's roles in leadership, earning her recognition as a 2024 Power 50 honoree by the US Black Chambers, Inc.
Dr. Pate’s academic foundation includes a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Sage College and certifications in School District and School Administration from the New York State Education Department. She is also an adjunct professor, guiding aspiring leaders in earning their doctorates in Educational Leadership. An accomplished author, her works include The Code, The Paradigm of Potential, To Hell with Work-Life Balance, and Finding Your Fearlessness. These publications offer actionable insights on leadership, capacity building, and navigating the complexities of women’s leadership.

Outside her professional endeavors, she is a devoted wife and mother to her two children, Dr. Pate enjoys traveling the world and engaging in renovation projects, combining her love of exploration with creativity and transformation.
