Currently serving as Assistant Superintendent of School Performance for K–8 Schools in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, she supports nearly 13,000 students across a diverse portfolio of schools. Under her leadership, her Performance Area and schools have achieved record-breaking academic gains, setting new benchmarks for excellence through strategic planning, instructional precision, and leader development.
Dr. Vaught’s career spans from classroom teacher to turnaround principal to Executive Director of Leadership Development and now to senior district leadership, with each role delivering transformative, sustained results.
