Elizabeth (Lizzy) del Campo Hartman is in her third year serving as the Director of Professional Development and Teacher support for Desert Sands Unified School District. In this role she works collaboratively with her team to design and facilitate district-wide learning opportunities to support priorities based on student needs. Prior to this position, Mrs. del Campo Hartman served as the Principal of Indio Middle School. Mrs. del Campo Hartman and her team from Indio Middle have served as a model for the district when it comes to MTSS, data-driven decision making, and structures and systems of support for all. Mrs. Hartman was a DSUSD’s Principal of the Year for the 2021-22 school year and a nominee for California Educator of the Year (2020) and has received awards that include; BEST Award (Bilingual Educators Succeeding Together) (2019-20), Administrator. She also has presented at National Education conferences such as AMLE (Association of Middle Level Educators) and Learning Forward.
