From the classroom to the boardroom, award-winning education leader Sophia Mendoza shares her inspiring journey of breaking barriers and creating pathways for others, especially women and women of color, to lead. Guided by her core values of Creativity, Joy, and Innovation, Sophia offers an honest look at the realities of representation, the power of networking, the strength of sisterhood, and the essential role of allies who speak our names in rooms we are not in. Through storytelling and audience participation, she challenges us to not only walk through doors, but to hold them open for others because you can’t be what you can’t see.
